Antonia serves as Compliance Analyst for Leeward. In this capacity she is responsible for overseeing the onboarding of new clients and reviewing existing client files to ensure that all clients are compliant with Cayman regulatory requirements. Antonia also serves as a Compliance Officer and provides statutory officer appointments (AMLCO, MLRO, DMLRO) to clients as needed.
Prior to joining Leeward, Antonia was a fund auditor in the Cayman office of a big 4 firm. During this time, she worked as a lead senior on some of the largest hedge fund audits, gaining valuable industry insight and experience.
Antonia Aguayo is a Chartered Certified Accountant and has a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance and Business from Newcastle University, UK. Antonia is also an ACAMs Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
Antonia holds British and Cayman nationalities and is a permanent resident of the Cayman Islands.
