Steven Slessor

Steve Slessor is a Director at Leeward Management Limited. He serves as an advisor to and independent board member of Cayman Islands investment funds and their managers.

In these significant roles, he focuses on corporate governance and legal and compliance matters, bringing over 20 years of experience with fund administration,  operations, audit, and regulatory matters to his client boards.  

Mr. Slessor previously served as Managing Director, Relationship Management at MUFG Investor Services, a top-tier fund administration firm with over 700B assets under administration.

During his 17-year career at MUFG Investor  Services, Mr. Slessor served in many roles, including managing fund administration staff, onboarding new funds, managing client relationships and their service providers.

Additionally, he served as an Executive Board member on two regulated MUFG entities for more than ten years. Mr. Slessor lived in Cayman from 2006 to 2008 while working with the firm.

Previous to MUFG Investor Services, Mr. Slessor worked for global Insurance companies and audit firms, all specializing in investments and investment funds.  

Mr. Slessor obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Further, he is also a Certified Public Accountant in good standing with the CPA Canada.
